Special notice for Broadcast of The Law in Focus
Philipsburg, April 1st, 2009
After outlining and discussing higher education and academic degrees in the USA and other Anglo-Saxon countries in general, among which are titles applied in our Caribbean region at the University of the West Indies, this week The Law in Focus will discuss higher education in the Netherlands.
While many, if not most of our students travel to the Netherlands to further their education, guided by ample advice from their study counselors, and many of our professionals on island have studied in Europe, our conversations with two local professionals who studied in the USA have proven to serve the imagination of our viewers and listeners well, motivating many to pick up a study and yet move on.
This is a special invitation to young and old to tune in on Thursday April 2nd from 9:30-10:00 pm and Wednesday April 8th from 6:00-6:30 pm to learn more about tertiary education in the Netherlands. This will be a program also highly recommended for viewing by professionals as we will air actual scenes from a “gathering of defense” to obtain a PhD.
Preparing our human resources to the highest educational levels is required if we do not want to stay behind in today’s competitive world.
